As I reflect on 2022, I am filled with thanks and admiration for you and our creative community.<\/p>\r\n

Everyone would agree that it\u2019s been a challenging year but in spite of a global pandemic, our artists have continued to gift our world with beauty, music, innovation and inspiration.<\/p>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

For many, I\u2019m sure\u00a0art and music have saved us\u00a0during this \u2018strange\u2019, \u2018crazy\u2019 and \u2018unprecedented\u2019 time.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

Thank you, thank you, thank you!<\/p>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

Flexibility<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n

You have led the way with your creativity and your ability to be flexible and to adapt to the changing environment. Many of you have stretched beyond your comfort zones, venturing into new and often challenging mediums so that you can continue to share your creative gifts with the world. You are the epitome of creativity<\/strong>\u00a0and the power to transform even in the most challenging of\u00a0situations.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

This year, you have used your artform to remind us of our humanity.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

Creative Record<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n

Art in all its expressions has helped document what is happening in the community, helped educate and created dialogue.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Singers have shared their songs. Artists have shared their art. Writers have shared their stories\u2026\u00a0You have kept us alive in our spirits<\/strong>\u00a0because of your willingness to continue to thrive creatively.<\/p>\r\n

Thank you…<\/p>\r\n

When we look back on the year 2022, your music, your street art, your posts, your poetry, your books, your dance, your online choirs \u2026 will all form a creative memory which will be remembered and honoured decades to come.<\/p>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

Relief<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n

Your creative expressions have offered us relief from the stressors of living through a global health crisis.\u00a0Your work has comforted and encouraged, challenged, agitated, blessed and entertained<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

Courage<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n

You are courageous!<\/strong>\u00a0Your willingness to try something new, have a go and go the extra mile has empowered us to do the same\u2026 to step out, often into the unknown.<\/p>\r\n

Creativity is in essence a great act of surrendering to the mystery.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

Through your creative work, you have demonstrated that each of us is full of possibilities. And you have done so with grit, grace, humour and love.<\/p>\r\n

Creativity is at the core of our humanity.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

Your art, especially during 2020 has offered different perspectives and enabled conversations to flow.<\/p>\r\n

Finally,\u00a0thank you for not giving up.<\/strong>\u00a0Many in the creative community are doing it tough and many have struggled with stress and mental health issues.<\/p>\r\n

We have not given up on you!<\/p>\r\n

As a coach to creatives, I consider my role as\u00a0sacred\u2026 I am grateful for the women and men who have trusted me in a\u00a0coaching partnership this year. You are the reason I am a coach and you give my life meaning.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

I honour you and your work. You have my unreserved respect, love and gratitude.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
